Swahili Kulturfest Opening Party

This is the official OPENING of Swahili Kulturfest 2024, June 29th to July 27th. This year we'll have a month long events in different locations in Hamburg. Please stay in touch to be updated. 29th June we will open our festival with two of Tanzania best artists live on stage:

Abeneko and The Positive Mind band an Afrofusion music band from Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
Dj Sisso and Producer Maiko Singeli (swahili electronics music) Dou from Tanzania.
Twenty 4 seven Reggae band (Hamburg/multi-inter/tz)

Abeneko & The Positive Mind
The six-piece band’s performances incorporate elements of contemporary Tanzanian sounds like bongo flava and singeli mixed with funk, Afrobeats and traditional dance rhythms to create its unique brand of ‘bongo fusion’.  

Dj Sisso & Producer Maiko
Sisso & Maiko's productions epitomize Singeli’s hyperlocal scenius, distilling the vitality and struggle of life of the fringes of the Swahili-speaking world’s most populous city, into a unique music which seems to reflect the idea of keeping a cool head in frenetic situations.
